FG ADOPTS NIGERIA’S GOLDEN BOOK AS ITS OFFICIAL DOCUMENT

The federal Government Friday, adopted the Sun Publishing Company’s great work titled ‘Nigeria’s Golden Book’ as its official document to be presented to other nations. The 512 page work narrates the nation’s history with some freshness from the 1914 amalgamation through independence and the post-independence crises, to various leadership challenges and to the current democratic dispensation. Having flipped through the pages of this great work, I consider it one of the well-researched databases of the Nigerian History. But Nigeria should be generous enough to sponsor more Nigerians to come up with great ideas. There should be room for a talent hunt by the Federal Government where young stars could be figured out to improve on our economy. The hunt should not be left for celebrities alone (e.g Maltina Dance All, Nigerian Idol, etc) but also for developers and creative thinkers.
